YouTube is testing a feature that allows you to download videos to your computer. Until now, only YouTube Premium users were able to download and watch videos offline, but now this feature will be available for desktop as well. However, the new feature under testing will provide this facility.
This new content appeared on YouTube’s test page. As noted by Android Police, it allows users to add a download button to a desktop site. For now, this feature is being tested by premium subscribers.
After enabling this button once, you can see the download option by clicking on the button with three dots at the bottom of the video while browsing.
Downloaded content appears in the side panel along with a new download page in the settings menu. From which the resolution can also be arranged. Such offline videos are saved on YouTube.
Which is useful for you when you are in a weak internet location. This feature was already available for Android. This test will continue till October 19. Nothing has been said about when users will get this feature.
