Nepal Rastra Bank has increased the daily payment limit through mobile banking. Rastra Bank has increased the limit of daily payments made through mobile banking by issuing guidelines related to integrated payment system.
Now it is possible to transact up to 2 lakh rupees per day through mobile banking (including QR code). Transactions up to 20 lakh rupees per day can be done through internet banking. Earlier, there was a provision that one could transact 1 lakh rupees per day through mobile banking.
Similarly, transactions can be made up to 50,000 per day, 1 lakh per day and 10 lakh rupees per month from the bank account to the wallet. 50,000 per day, 1 lakh per day and up to 10 lakh per month can be transacted from the wallet to other bank accounts.
Similarly, transactions from one wallet to another wallet can be made up to 25 thousand per day, 1 lakh per day and 5 lakh per month.
Similarly, overnight balance can be kept only up to 50 thousand rupees in the wallet. The National Bank has also stated that there will be no limit to transfer money from the wallet to the wallet holder’s bank account.
Rastra Bank has set a maximum service charge of Rs 5 per transaction up to Rs 3,000 for revenue payments made through wallets operated by payment service providers affiliated to the Revenue Management Information System (RMIS).
Rastra Bank has arranged that a maximum of 10 rupees per transaction can be charged for transactions between 3,000 to 10,000 and a maximum of 20 rupees per transaction for transactions above 10,000.
Customers of banks and financial institutions can charge a maximum service charge of Rs 10 per transaction up to Rs 50,000 when making electronic money transfer through Inter Bank Fund Transfer (IBTF) through mobile banking.
Similarly, it has been arranged that a maximum service fee of 20 rupees per transaction can be charged for transactions between 50,000 to 1 lakh and up to 30 rupees per transaction for transactions above 1 lakh.
