France fined Google 20 billion for cookies

France has paid a fine of $20 billion to Google for cookies breach. France has also fined Facebook Rs 8 billion for the same.

Users are penalized for refusing to accept cookies. The French government says that just as it is easy to accept cookies, refusals should be done with a single click.

France’s Data Privacy Watchdog CNIL reported the incident to CyberNews. CNIL believes that users should have the right to both accept and reject.
