Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has said that Digital Nepal Conclave will be important for realizing the dream of Digital Nepal.
This was stated by Karki, who was also a special guest at the Digital Nepal Conclave 2022, which started in Kathmandu on Saturday.
‘Where we are, where our problem is. What can we do to solve it and what is our path now? What should we do to reach that path? What should be acknowledged by the government? What should the private sector do? “I am confident that this two-day conclave will show the way,” he said at the event.
He said that necessary policy, legal, technical and structural arrangements are being made for the effective implementation of Digital Nepal Framework. According to Karki, the government’s program is aimed at building a nation with information technology.
He informed that the aim is to double the contribution of this sector to the GDP within two years by developing information technology in a timely manner. He said that the states have also given priority in the budget to make it a digital state.
