According to research conducted by The Financial Times and Cyberint, the use of Telegram by cybercriminals has increased by 100%.
It is reported that cyber crimes have started to increase after many users were attracted to Telegram due to the change in the privacy policy of WhatsApp. Research has also shown that the number of hackers in the app has increased and they are leaking data.
The leaked data in the app contains 3 lakh to 6 lakh emails and passwords. It has been found that cyber criminals are selling credit card numbers, copies of passwords and hacking tools through the app.
