Google Meet is going to bring a feature that automatically adjusts the brightness of the webcam in the browser. This will make it easier for users to see other friends and colleagues in the call.

The web version of Google Meet will detect if a user is not seeing well due to poor lighting and will automatically increase the brightness of the webcam.

It will also brighten up your feed. The browser uses AI to measure the light level, but this feature does not have admin control. The company said that if you don’t like this feature, you can also switch it off.

Google has said that enabling this feature may slow down the device. This feature can be used by all workspace and Jesuit users. This feature will be available to all Web version users within 15 days from October 4.
